Why dermatology

I wanted to be a doctor from childhood; if I had to choose again, I would choose the same. I studied chemistry and biology at “Eudoxiu Hurmuzachi” National College in Rădăuți, then graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at “Iuliu Hațieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj-Napoca.

The specialty I chose, dermatovenereology, fits me like a glove — I could say it chose me, through a dermatological condition of my own. I love working with people in a relaxed atmosphere, with a friendly and empathetic attitude, and that is an enormous asset in how I relate to my patients.

Our specialty covers every age, from adults and the elderly to babies, which gives me a rich and varied perspective on medical practice. Many dermatological conditions call for a holistic approach that draws on internal medicine and on psychology.

Working in dermatovenereology gives me the opportunity to affect people's lives positively, offering them solutions for the health of their skin. Over the years I have attended numerous training courses and national and international congresses, so that I can offer my patients the best advice and therapeutic options.
